HP Support Assistant helps keep your HP computer in working order by finding updates and providing troubleshooting tools. Most HP computers come with HP Support Assistant. Click the app icon in the taskbar, or search Windows for a support assistant to open the tool. The HP Support Assistant is recommended for all HP computers to assist with computer maintenance, software upgrades, troubleshooting problems, and many other options
Uninstalling HP Support Assistant
In Windows, search for an open Uninstalls program.
On the Programs and Features window, select HP Support Assistant, then click Uninstall.
Click Yes on the Programs and Features screen to confirm you want to uninstall HP Assistant Support.
Restart your computer to complete the process.
HP support Assistant is a HP build on to their machines and it does all the automated updates to HP BIOS and other hardware in your computer. It can do automated troubleshoots and fixes, too, but only on software, of course; if your hardware is kicking the bucket then there’s nothing it can do about that.
